*BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM: Goa - the land of silvery sands, golden sun and the exciting Western Ghats - is the destination for enthusiastic trekkers, sailors, bikers and families to connect with Mother Nature through expeditions organised by Goa State Branch of YHAI in collaboration with Sports Authority of Goa and Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. The participants will enjoy a splendid panorama of hills, sandy beaches, refreshing waterfalls, beautiful landscapes, breath taking groves of palm trees, sun kissed waterways, Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Dudhsagar falls. The hilly trek of Western Ghats provides trekking trails as steep and difficult as the Himalayan climbs. The trekking route will therefore, offer the same thrills and excitement as in any mountain with some additional attractions like bus ride, and rail journey in the Western Ghats. 
*HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP: The base camp is located at Sports Authority Ground, Near Miramar Beach, Panaji Goa. The nearest railway stations are Thivim (25Kms), Karmali (12 km) and Margao (33km.). State bus service is available. Direct bus service is also available from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Mangalore. Direct trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and major cities of India.

* Day Wise schedule:

# DAY 1: Report at base camp-Sport Authority Ground, Campal, Panaji.

# DAY 2: Training/ Acclimatization, Evening trek from Mobor to Benaulim beach [12 Kms] (Base Camp to Mobor by bus)

# DAY 3: Benaulim to Velsao Beach (10 kms)

# DAY 4: Collem to Dudhsagar ( 10 kms) (Velsao to Collem by train)

# DAY 5: Dudhsagar to Kuveshi (8 kms) (Via Dudhsagar waterfalls)

# DAY 6: Kuveshi to Anmod (14 kms)

# DAY 7: Anmod to Tambdi Surla (15 kms)  to base camp by bus followed by Certificate Distribution and Recreation Activity.

# DAY 8: Check out after breakfast

*WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?  Any member of the Association who is physically fit can join the programme. The minimum age for participation is 18
*HOW TO JOIN: Members desirous of joining the programme may apply on a prescribed Registration Form duly supported by a Medical Certificate, which is attached with the form. Photocopies of the forms are acceptable. The minimum age for participation is 10. Form should be sent along with draft / Cheque on the name" National Trekking Expedition, Goa" payable at Panaji of the participation fee. Member may also register through online booking.
*CANCELLATION RULES:  In case you are unable to join the trek after paying the participation fee, you will get a refund of 50%- provided your request is received directly in the office of Goa State Branch (not by email/SMS/ Whatsapp) before 25th November 2018. No refund will however, be admissible if such notice is received after 25th November, 2018.

*FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES: Morning tea, breakfast, lunch / packed lunch, evening tea and Dinner shall be provided. Simple vegetarian, good quality nutritious food shall be served at the camp. Please bring your own plates, mugs, spoons, tiffin box for pack lunch etc.
*WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG: Rucksack (if you have one) cotton shirts, cotton pants, sun cap, Hunter shoes, 2 pairs of cotton socks, torch, water bottle, lunch box, steel mug, plate, spoon, pen-knife, needle, thread, goggles,   soap, toilet paper, towel, medicines (which you normally use at home). 
*SAFETY & SECURITY: Extensive and painstaking preparation has gone into the planning of trek routes for your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. The Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any accidents, illness and any such unforeseen eventualities. Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If the participant desires to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and risk only after finishing the trek and checking out. YHAI group insurance cover is for accidental death or permanent disability only. You are advised to take insurance cover for your journey and other related matters.
