HEIGHT OF ADVENTURE
Two prestigious programmes under Height Of Adventure namely National Motor Bike Expedition and National Mountain Biking Expedition were organised by YHA of India to commenmorate the Centenary celebration of Youth Hostelling International and 60th Anniversary of YHAI in the month of August-September 2009.
National Motor Bike Expedition was kick started from Delhi to Khardung La (Ht. 18380 feet Highest motorable road in the world) and back to Delhi by covering approx. 2500 kms distance. 107 participant successfully reached Khardung La and completed the Expedition.
National Mountain Biking Expedition was started from Kullu to Leh via Khardung La covering a total distance of 600 kms approx. Because of adverse weather condition the expedition was called off at South Pullu (just short of 14 kms from Khardung La). It was a matter of immense pleasure for YHAi when 108 participant completed the expedition till South Pulu.
