Important: Aadhar Card & Medical Certificate need to be sent after booking the program, if the participant fail to send the same through email on trekking@yhaindia.org then the booking will be cancelled and the fees amount will be refunded. These documents need to be submitted in Forest Department in advance, failing to it the permission of trekking will not be granted in any case.
Participant will be responsible if they fail to produce the documents in advance.
BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:
The purpose of the programme is to offer the youth new trekking region in the Kodaikanal –Vellakavi- Kumbakarai Falls -Kurangani-Central Station-Top Station-Munnar Hills
DAY WISE SCHEDULE:
# Day 1: Reporting at base camp Kodaikanal at 2:30 pm and Training/Acclimatization
# Day 2: Trek to Vellakavi (9 Km)
# Day 3: Trek to Vattakanal (10 Km)-Transfer by Van to Kurangani(70KM)
# Day 4: Trek to Top Station via Central Station
# Day 5: Trek inside Top Station (10km) - Transfer by Jeep to Munnar Devikulam (Sight Seeing - Top Station View Point, Madupatty Dam, Kundal Dam, Echo point,Shooting Spot, Elephant Park, Tea Museum, Rosegarden, Etc. { participants have to pay all sightseeing entry fees} followed by Certificate Distribution and Recreation activity
# Day 6: Disperse at Munnar Devikulam after Breakfast.
The programme will disperse at Munnar Devikulam only.(Extra Luggage will be handover to Participants at Munnar).
Note : Route and Schedule of the programme may change without prior notice based on the local condition.
FEE INCLUSIONS: Vegetarian Food, Dorm/Tent accommodation, supervision, expert guidance, Forest Entry
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The minimum age for a member to join the program is 10 years to 75 Years, YHAI membership is mandatory to participate. This condition will be adhered to strictly. Under age and above age will not be considered in any case.
HOW TO REACH THE BASE CAMP:
By Air:Kodaikanal does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is the Madurai International Airport, which is 110 kilometres away by road. From Madurai, you can hire a cab to go to Kodaikanal . In case you de-board at the Madurai International Airport, you can hire a cab or board the state transport or private buses to go to Kodaikanal.
By Bus:State-run or private buses, plying from Madurai to Kodaikanal , are the best way to go to Kodaikanal by road.
By Train: The nearest railway station is Kodaikanal road or Madurai Junction.From Kodaikanal Road,buses and trains available to Kodaikanal.

ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES: Tented accommodation.
FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES: Simple vegetarian and nutritious food will be served
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG: Cotton Shirts, Cotton Pants, bedsheet, sweater, shoes, sun-cap, raincoat, two pairs of socks, torch, water bottle, lunch box, mug, plate, tumbler, cold cream and a first-aid kit.

CANCELLATION RULES:
1. In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 50% refund of the participation fees. The request for cancellation must be received by us by email or any written mode or online before 7 days from the reporting date of your program. After that no request of cancellation will be considered. No refund will be applicable if the request of cancellation received less than 7 days prior to your reporting date.
2. YHAI is not liable to pay any personal travelling expenses to the participants in case of any cancellation of the program.
In case YHAI cancels the program last minute due to government permission issues, Participants will get a 100% refund. But in case of Participants cannot claim any travel amount they incurred.
For Offline Cancellations: You cancellation request should be sent to the State Office as per the criteria.

Seat once booked may not be re-scheduled or transferred.
If any participant is unable to join program then he may transfer his booking to any other person he is willing to. But the request for transfer the seat must received to us 7 days prior to the reporting date.
Any unforeseen event/ strike or natural calamity/ unfit medical condition will not be considered as a cause of cancellation.
Refund may be given after completion of the programs 30 to 45 working days.
