Nainital is famous for the Naini Lake where it is believed that Lord Shiva performed his tandava. The Naini peak or the China peak is the highest in Nainital with aheight of 2611mts. Some of the other places of tourist interest are the Mall, now known as the GovindBallabh Pant Marg. You can find restaurants, offices and hotels all located in the Mall. Nainital Zoo is a very important tourist spot where you can find rare species of snow leopard, steppe eagle and the Himalayan black bear.The Governor House of the Raj Bhavan with its sprawling gardens is one of the few Raj Bhavnas open for public viewing. Nainital's latest attraction is the Eco caveGarden where your children can learn about the ecosphere.Nainital is also famous for its various school and research facilities. The Observatory or the Aryabhatta Research Institute of observational Sciences (ARIES) is located 9km from Nainital on Manora peak and the center for astronomical studies andoptical tracking of artificial satellites. It also proudly houses many renowned schools some from the British period. An important and famous school in Nainital Sherwood College, St Joseph’s College, and Sainik School.

Nainital is well connected by motorable roads with the major destinations of northern India. Nainital is only one hour drive from Kathgodam which is spread on the hills of lower Himalayan range. You can take a taxi or bus from Kathgodam toreach Nainital. Most number or tourists who visit Nainital commences their journey from New Delhi. The distance between Delhi to Nainital is 320kms which can be covered by a 9hour drive. Nainital is connected with NH87. Buses to Nainital are available from ISBT AnandVihar.

Pant Nagar is situated in Uttrakhand state and is one of the two airports of Uttrakhand. Pant Nagar is the nearest airport to Kathgodam and Nainital as well. It is situated 72kms from Nainital and is well connected by motorable road. Taxis to Nainital and Kathgodam are easily available from PantNagar Airport. Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi is 300 Kms.

BY RAIL: Kathgodam is the nearest railway station to Nainital, situated at a distance of 41 kms. Kathgodam is well connected by Railway with the major destinations of India like Lucknow, Delhi and Kolkata. Trains are frequent to Kathgodam as it is the gateway of Kumaon region. Nainital is only one-hour drive 41kms from Kathgodam Railway Station. Buses and Taxis are easily available to Nainital from Kathgodam.

1. The participant can apply for the cancellation of the seat booked at any time prior to his/her reporting date and avail either 80% monetary refund or 100% in the form of credit shell with one year validity. Click the link to cancel: https://www.yhaindia.org/program-cancellation.php

2. In Case YHAI cancels the program because of natural calamities, pandemic or any administrative reasons, YHAI will refund 100% of the paid fee. The participant can either claim for 100% refund or postpone the seat for any other program.

3. Cancellation request for offline booking may be sent through email at trekking@yhaindia.org along with a copy of their admit card with the request email for cancellation.

4. Refund will be processed after 30 to 45 days of the completion of the programs.
