BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM:YHAI is again comes up to celebrate the Youth Day with a new programme. This programme is to offer the youth a new cycling route from Chennai to Puducherry. Clear roads sprinkled with sparkling beaches make this trail one of the best in India. The route, going through Mamallapuram, is renowned for its glistening seaside views.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: The minimum age for a member to join the program is 18 years to 75 Years, YHAI membership is mandatory to participate. This condition will be adhered to strictly. Under age and above age will not be considered in any case. Members desirous of joining this programme may apply online duly supported by a "Trekking Medical Certificate".
DAY WISE SCHEDULE:
# Day 1: Reporting at base camp Youth Hostel Chennai and Training/Acclimatization
# Day 2: Cycling from Chennai to Mamallapuram- 58 kms
# Day 3: Cycling from Mamallapuram to Alamparai Fort (50 KM)
# Day 4: Cycling from Alamparai Fort to Puducherry Youth Hostel (49 KM)
# Day 5: Cycling from Puducherry Youth Hostel to Auroville French New Town and back to Youth Hostel (25 km)
# Day 6: Certificate Distribution/Recreation activity Disperse after Breakfast
The programme will disperse at Puducherry Youth Hostel.Extra Luggage will be handover to Participants at Puducherry only.
Note : Route and Schedule of the programme may change without prior notice based on the local condition.

HOW TO JOIN:

2. Participants can also deposit the participation fee in any branch of ICICI Bank giving the following details:

FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES:
Simple vegetarian and nutritious food will be served
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ALONG:
Raincoat, torch, water bottle, lunch box, mug, plate, tumbler, cold cream and a first-aid kit.
* Admit card, 2 set Xerox copies of ID Proof, Medical Certificate, 2 Passport size Photos, Membership card, payment receipt if paid by offline.

Participants willing to take their own bicycles can bring.
SAFETY & SECURITY:
While every care has been taken to ensure safety, the Youth Hostels Association of India cannot be held responsible for any theft, accident, illness and other such unforeseen eventuality.
CANCELLATION RULES: (Online/Offline)
1. 1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2023. The request for cancellation or transfer or postponement must be received by us by email or any written mode before 7 days from the reporting date of your program. After that no request of transfer or refund or postponement will be considered. No refund will be applicable for any cancellation of a seat and credit shell will be provided only.
2. In case the participant cancels the program from his own end, he/she is eligible for 50% monetary refund provided the participant cancels the program 21 days prior to the starting date of the program.
3. YHAI is not liable to pay any personal travelling expenses to the participants in case of any cancellation of the program.
