Nainital is famous for the Naini Lake where it is believed that Lord Shiva performed his tandava. The Naini peak or the China peak is the highest in Nainital with a height of 2611mts. Some of the other places of tourist interest are the Mall, now known as the GovindBallabh Pant Marg. You can find restaurants, offices and hotels all located in the Mall. Nainital Zoo is a very important tourist spot where you can find rare species of snow leopard, steppe eagle and the Himalayan black bear. The Governor House of the Raj Bhavan with its sprawling gardens is one of the few Raj Bhavnas open for public viewing. Nainital's latest attraction is the Eco cave garden where your children can learn about the ecosphere. Nainital is also famous for its various school and research facilities. The Observatory or the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) is located 9km from Nainital on Manora Peak and the centre for astronomical studies and optical tracking of artificial satellites. It also proudly houses many renowned schools some from the British period. An important and famous school in Nainital Sherwood College, St Joseph’s College, and Sainik School.

The minimum strength of the group will be 8 participants for its execution.  If YHAI will not receive a minimum of 8 bookings in the group of the said programme, it may be postponed to another date. If the participant does not want to postpone the programme, he/she may avail a full refund of the registration fee.

Nainital is well connected by motorable roads with the major destinations of northern India. Nainital is only one hour drive from Kathgodam which is spread on the hills of lower Himalayan range. You can take a taxi or bus from Kathgodam toreach Nainital. Most number or tourists who visit Nainital commences their journey from New Delhi. The distance between Delhi to Nainital is 320kms which can be covered by a 9hour drive. Nainital is connected with NH87. Buses to Nainital are available from ISBT Anand Vihar.



Pant Nagar is situated in Uttrakhand state and is one of the two airports of Uttrakhand. Pant Nagar is the nearest airport to Kathgodam and Nainital as well. It is situated 72kms from Nainital and is well connected by motorable road. Taxis to Nainital and Kathgodam are easily available from PantNagar Airport. Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi is 300 Kms.



BY RAIL: Kathgodam is the nearest railway station to Nainital, situated at a distance of 41 kms. Kathgodam is well connected by Railway with the major destinations of India like Lucknow, Delhi and Kolkata. Trains are frequent to Kathgodam as it is the gateway of Kumaon region. Nainital is only one-hour drive 41kms from Kathgodam Railway Station. Buses and Taxis are easily available to Nainital from Kathgodam.

Cancellation Policy: 

1) In case you are unable to join the programme due to any reason, you will get a 100% Credit Shell of the participation fees which will be valid till December 2023. The request for cancellation or transfer or postponement must be received by us by email or any written mode before 7 days from the reporting date of your program. After that no request of transfer or refund or postponement will be considered. No refund will be applicable for any cancellation of a seat and credit shell will be provided only.

2) If the next programme opted by you is cheaper, you may use the balance amount in any of the Trek till Dec 2023.

3) If the next opted programme is costlier, the trekker has to pay the differential amount.

4) If the trekker opts for the same programme that was cancelled, he/she will not be charged extra even if the price goes up next year.

5) You may transfer your seat to your family members and friends also.
